Setting up a legacy gift is simple and deeply satisfying.

You’re making a difference now, and your legacy gift will celebrate and share your love for the Library with future generations.​

 

One sentence in your will can make a lifetime of difference.  To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:​

 

"I hereby bequeath to LA County Library Foundation in Downey, CA, the sum of $_________) (or______%) of my estate."​

 

Legacy options – simple ways to give​

 

Your lawyer or professional advisor can help you create an estate plan that works for you.

 

  • Bequests

Naming LA County Library Foundation in your will or trust is simple. A charitable bequest can be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after other bequests - including those to family members - are made.

 

  • Life Insurance Policy

You can name the Foundation as beneficiary of part or all of the insurance proceeds.

 

  • Retirement Fund Assets

You can name the Foundation as the beneficiary of your retirement fund assets from qualified plans or IRAs.​

 

  • Savings and Investment Accounts

You can name LA County Library Foundation as the beneficiary of a savings or investment account.​

If you’d like to make a bequest for a specific purpose (that is, other than for LA County Library Foundation’s general purposes), please contact us to confirm your intention can be fulfilled.​
